Who we are
SabJewels (also known as SB Jewelry Designs) is a small handmade-jewelry business based in Hampstead, Maryland, USA. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit sabjewels.net, create an account or place an order, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you create an account, check out, contact us or leave a product review, we collect what you enter: your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, your order details, and any message or review you write. Reviews are published on the product page under the name you provide.
Sign in with Google. If you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares your email address and basic profile information (your name) with us. We use it only to create your SabJewels account and sign you in. We never see your Google password.
Payment information. Payments are handled by PayPal. Your card or PayPal account details are entered on PayPal’s secure pages and are never stored on our servers. We only receive confirmation of the payment and the details needed to fulfil your order.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our servers and our security provider (Cloudflare) record technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. We use this to keep the site running, protect it from abuse and fix problems.
How we use your information
- To process, ship and, if needed, refund your orders.
- To send you transactional emails: order confirmations, a welcome email when you register, and password-reset emails.
- To manage your account and answer your questions.
- To keep the website secure, prevent fraud and improve how it works.
- To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not send marketing emails or newsletters, and we do not build advertising profiles.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share only what is necessary with the service providers that help us run the store:
- PayPal – processes your payment.
- Resend – delivers our order, account and password emails.
- Google – only if you sign in with Google, to verify your identity.
- Cloudflare – protects and speeds up the website, and sees the technical data described above.
- Postal and courier services – receive your name, address and phone number so your order can be delivered.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or if the business is sold or transferred, in which case this policy will continue to apply.
Cookies
We use one first-party cookie, sid, which is strictly necessary: it keeps you signed in and remembers your shopping cart, and it expires after about a day. Cloudflare may also set security cookies (such as __cf_bm) to tell real visitors from automated traffic. We do not use advertising, analytics or social-media tracking cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. If you block cookies, the cart and sign-in will not work.
How long we keep your information
We keep your account information for as long as your account is open. Order and payment records are kept for as long as tax, accounting and consumer-protection laws require, even after an account is closed. Technical logs are kept only briefly.
Your choices
- You can view and update your name, email and addresses at any time in your account.
- You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account by emailing [email protected]. We will reply as soon as we can, and within 30 days. We may need to keep records of completed orders as required by law.
- If you signed in with Google, you can remove SabJewels’ access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Security
Our website is served over HTTPS, payments are handled by PayPal, and access to customer data is limited to the people who need it to run the store. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Visitors from outside the United States
SabJewels is based in the United States, and our website and service providers process information in the United States. By using the site you understand that your information will be handled there.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page with its effective date.
